Helping Families Improve understands the value and importance of your privacy. Please read this Privacy Policy to better understand our commitment to safeguard your personal and mental health information. The law protects the relationship between a client and a therapist, and information can only be disclosed with the client’s written permission and / or a judge’s order. If we are compelled to disclose personal information for the these reasons such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order, we will attempt to notify the client before making the required disclosure, unless doing so is not legally prohibited. However there are some exceptions as outlined below

Exceptions include:

  • We may release personal information if client reports the abuse of a child, dependent adult, disabled individual, or the elderly. We are required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
  • We may release personal information if a client presents to be a serious or immediate threat to self or others. If it’s to others, we must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
  • If a client intends to harm self, we will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in insuring their safety. If they refuse or resist, we will take further measures without their permission that are provided to us by law in order to ensure their safety.
  • Personal information may be provided to administration or partners acting on the behalf of Helping Families Improve, to perform certain functions such as data storage, product shipping, or payment issues. Such partners are contractually obligated to abide by Helping Families Improve privacy policy with respect to the use and protection of User information

Emailing Policy 

Helping Families Improve may send occasional emails to persons who have agreed to, and provided email address information, as a means of follow up. WE DO NO TRADE OR SELL ANY USER INFORMATION WITH OTHER COMPANIES. You may at any time “opt-out” of receiving emails. Email information is viewable only by those authorized to do so.

Privacy Policy Amendments

Helping Families Improve will always remain committed to the privacy of our clients, though at times it may be necessary to amend the tenets of this privacy policy to reflect new technological or USA legal issues. Helping Families Improve does reserve the right to amend the terms of this privacy policy at any time by posting revisions to the above stated privacy.
